Research
The ISSR Lab is dedicated to the interdisciplinary robotics research at small scales, ranging from fundamental science and physics to technologies and solutions for a series of applications.
  • Small-scale robots and small-scale robotics systems: the design, actuation, automated control, and imaging feedback of small-scale robots.
  • Microrobotic swarms: design and manipulation of swarming system, including actuation, control of swarming micro/nanorobots and medical imaging-guided active delivery of swarming agents.
  • Robotic medical equipment: targeted delivery system, untethered and tethered intervention system, cell robots-based intervention platform.
  • Micro/nanomanipulation systems: Dynamic self-assembly, autonomous manipulation systems
  • Soft robotics and wearable devices: design, fabrication, and multi-mode control of soft robots, biomedical validation platforms.
